The String Beans were formed in 2014 by professional guitarists Jake and Chris. The plan was to play a mixture of old gypsy jazz standards and modern day rock/pop classics with a gypsy twist. Having quickly made an impact on the Manchester acoustic scene with their first live shows at the end of the year, the duo has since expanded into a variety of line ups that can now offer vocals, bass and drums as well. Known for their frantic and heavily improvised live shows mixed with intricately arranged medleys expect to see The String Beans busking in a town near you soon! James (Guitarist) is a session musician and performs in the house-band at the Blues Kitchen MCR. James has played for the likes of James Morrison, supported Craig David and more.
